We all know first impressions count, that's why we at Buy as You View do our best to make sure your products are delivered and installed within 72 hours of placing your order.

However the information in our leaflet takes precedence. So if you're unsure, or if the information here is different, you should refer to the leaflet for the latest information.

 

This premier delivery service is available for a small charge (£10 for small items and £20 for larger items) and we even take away the packaging and recycle it for you. As a nation-wide company with our own network of regional warehouses and delivery fleet we can usually get your new purchase to you within 3 days.

Once delivered, you'll benefit from our free installation service (with exception to Gas Cookers, please refer to terms for Freestanding Gas Cookers below). Check out the packages below to see the great value for yourself.

 

What's included?

Here's what's included in your premier service delivery and installation package.

TVs

  • We'll unpack and check your new TV
  • We'll connect the new TV to any existing equipment like DVD players and Freeview boxes
  • We'll tune in the TV and set it up to any other equipment
  • We'll give you a brief demonstration of how to use the TV
  • We'll remove the packaging

Here's what isn't included:

  • We can't wall mount TVs
  • We can't personalise or optimise the picture quality

 

Freestanding Gas Cookers

If you are purchasing a Gas Cooker, installation charges will apply due to a legal requirement that a Gas Safe Registered Engineer will need to install the item. You can contact our customer service team on 0845 121 5690 for additional information.

Here's what they'll do for you:

  • Disconnect the existing appliance
  • Evaluate the existing connections and also visually inspect all gas appliances in your home to make sure they are safe.
  • Unbox and check your new product
  • If the wiring and pipe work does not meet safety guidelines
  • Perform a full health and safety check, ensuring the safety clearances are met
  • Test your new appliance and demonstrate the basic functions
  • Remove the packaging

Here's what isn't included:

  • Connection of an appliance if it puts you or the installer at risk
  • Connection of an appliance if the wiring does not meet safety guidelines.

 

Freestanding Electric Cookers

Here's what's included in your delivery and
installation package:

  • We'll disconnect your existing appliance
  • We'll evaluate the existing connections
  • We'll unbox and check the new product
  • We'll perform a full health and safety check, ensuring the safety clearances are met
  • We'll install the cooker and perform a new cooker installation test to check the circuits in the cooker are safe
  • We'll demonstrate the basic functions to the cooker
  • We'll remove the packaging

Here's what isn't included:

  • We can't disconnect an existing gas cooker as this requires a Gas Safe registered engineer
  • We can't connect an appliance if it puts you or the installer at risk
  • We can't connect an appliance if the wiring does not meet safety guidelines.

To help us out, it would be great if you could check that:

  • There is enough space for the cooker
  • There is no wallpaper or flammable material behind where the cooker will be
  • There is an accessible double-pole control panel rated between 30 and 45 amps within 2 meters of the designated space
  • All clearances between the cooker and work surfaces and cupboards are met.

 

Washers, Dryers and Dishwashers

Here's what's included in your delivery and installation package:

  • We'll disconnect the existing appliance if the plumbing and pipe work is in good working order. We will not be able to disconnect if it is hardwired into a fused spur, tap connections are seized up or if moving would result in damage.
  • We'll unbox and check the new product and remove any transit bolts
  • We'll connect your new appliance to existing pipe work that is within reach of the standard hose
  • We'll connect the waste outlet to an existing water tap or stand pipe
  • We'll connect your new appliance to an accessible electrical socket within 1.5 meters of the appliance
  • We'll level the machine to ensure minimum vibration
  • We'll test the appliance
  • We'll remove the packaging

Here's what isn't included:

  • We can't plumb two waste pipes into one
  • We can't make any alterations to existing plumbing or electrical connections. We can only install into existing connections.

To help us out, it would be great if you could check that:

  • There is clear access to the pipe work and waste outlet

 

Refrigeration Appliances

Here's what's included in your delivery and installation package:

  • We'll remove the packaging and position the appliance in the designated space
  • We'll connect the appliance to a mains water supply within 1.5 meters of the product (on water and ice models).

To help us out, it would be great if you could check that:

  • There is an easily accessible mains water supply within 1.5 meters if you have purchased a water and/or ice-dispenser model
  • There is a working plug socket within 1.5 meters
  • Your old appliance is fully defrosted and free of water

 

Furniture

Here's what's included in your delivery and installation package:

  • We'll remove the packaging and position the furniture in the designated space

Please note that our flat pack furniture will require assembly. If you require a little help with this, let us know and we will arrange to call.

So know you know what we'll do, here's what you need to do:

Before ordering large items, you should check that:

  • The item will fit through your doors
  • The item will fit in the space allocated
  • There is a clear path between the road and your front door and if there are any access difficulties, just let us know

On the day of delivery, you should ensure that:

  • There is clear and safe access to your property (you'll understand that we can't deliver or install there is obstruction, concerns about safety or if it would cause damage)
  • Your floors are covered to prevent scuffing
  • You are at home at the time we have agreed with you
  • Any delicate objects are put in a safe place

Please note that our delivery crews are unable to change door positions or make any alterations to the property, nor will they install refrigeration products in garages as they do not function properly in an outdoor environment.

 

Returns

We give you a full 30 days from the date you receive your order to make sure you are happy. However, if you decide that something is unsuitable you can cancel and return it free of charge.

 

 Within 72 hours on most orders, subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply. Excludes satellite, cooking and gas products. We only connect appliances to existing pipe work and outlets.
