Delivery and Installation

 

We all know first impressions count, that's why we at Buy as You View do our best to make sure your products are delivered and installed within 72 hours of placing your order.

This premier delivery service costs £22 for large items such as sofas or washing machines and £11 for smaller items such as phones and laptops.  As part of this charge we'll also take away the packaging and recycle it for you. As a nation-wide company with our own network of regional warehouses and delivery fleet, we can usually get your new purchase to you within 3 days.

 

What's included?

Here's what's included in your premier service delivery and installation package.

TVs

  • We'll unpack and check your new TV
  • We'll connect the new TV to any existing equipment like DVD players and Freeview boxes
  • We'll tune in the TV and set it up to any other equipment
  • We'll give you a brief demonstration of how to use the TV
  • We'll remove the packaging

Here's what isn't included:

  • We can't wall mount TVs
  • We can't personalise or optimise the picture quality

 

Cooker Installation

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer installations for cookers. Due to new regulations, all electric cookers now need to be installed by a fully qualified electrician and gas cookers by a Gas Safe Registered engineer*.

Here’s what we’ll do:

  • Position cooker in designated space in your kitchen
  • Unbox and check the new product
  • Remove all packaging

This applies to all cookers, whether they are gas, electric or dual fuel.

*It is your responsibility to find a suitable installation contractor.

 

Washers, Dryers, and Dishwashers

Here's what's included in your delivery and installation package:

  • We'll disconnect the existing appliance if the plumbing and pipe work is in good working order. We will not be able to disconnect if it is hardwired into a fused spur, tap connections are seized up or if moving would result in damage.
  • We'll unbox and check the new product and remove any transit bolts
  • We'll connect your new appliance to existing pipe work that is within reach of the standard hose
  • We'll connect the waste outlet to an existing water tap or stand pipe
  • We'll connect your new appliance to an accessible electrical socket within 1.5 meters of the appliance
  • We'll level the machine to ensure minimum vibration
  • We'll test the appliance
  • We'll remove the packaging

Here's what isn't included:

  • We can't plumb two waste pipes into one
  • We can't make any alterations to existing plumbing or electrical connections. We can only install into existing connections.

To help us out, it would be great if you could check that:

  • There is clear access to the pipe work and waste outlet

 

Refrigeration Appliances

Here's what's included in your delivery and installation package:

  • We'll remove the packaging and position the appliance in the designated space
  • We'll connect the appliance to a mains water supply within 1.5 meters of the product (on water and ice models).

To help us out, it would be great if you could check that:

  • There is an easily accessible mains water supply within 1.5 meters if you have purchased a water and/or ice-dispenser model
  • There is a working plug socket within 1.5 meters
  • Your old appliance is fully defrosted and free of water

 

Furniture

Here's what's included in your delivery and installation package:

  • We'll remove the packaging and position the furniture in the designated space

Please note that our flat pack furniture will require assembly. If you require a little help with this, let us know and we will arrange to call.

So know you know what we'll do, here's what you need to do:

Before ordering large items, you should check that:

  • The item will fit through your doors
  • The item will fit in the space allocated
  • There is a clear path between the road and your front door and if there are any access difficulties, just let us know

On the day of delivery, you should ensure that:

  • There is clear and safe access to your property (you'll understand that we can't deliver or install there is obstruction, concerns about safety or if it would cause damage)
  • Your floors are covered to prevent scuffing
  • You are at home at the time we have agreed with you
  • Any delicate objects are put in a safe place

Please note that our delivery crews are unable to change door positions or make any alterations to the property, nor will they install refrigeration products in garages as they do not function properly in an outdoor environment.

 

Returns

We give you a full 30 days from the date you receive your order to make sure you are happy. However, if you decide that something is unsuitable you can cancel and return it free of charge.

 

 Within 72 hours on most orders, subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply. Excludes satellite, cooking and gas products. We only connect appliances to existing pipe work and outlets.
